About us Meet the Team Steve Perry Director of Arts and Education Adult Safeguarding Lead What do you love about working with bemix? I love seeing people learn new skills and develop existing skills and talents. I enjoy the endless creativity, ideas and the opportunity we all have to learn from each other. How long have you been involved with bemix? I started with the Music and Arts Project when we were known as Skillnet Group in July 2008. What is your role in bemix? I oversee the delivery and development of our adult group projects; internal quality assurance for our adult courses; supporting the management of Life Choices, Designated Adult Safeguarding Lead and I am also on the Central Team and Board of Directors. What did you do before you joined bemix? I worked in a school for students with Autism where I taught music instrument skills, music performance and music technology. I have also taught on music courses in colleges, worked in Supported Employment, driven vans and played guitar in a band. What do you enjoy doing when you're not working? It all revolves around family, music and football. I enjoy walking our dog, playing football, watching football (I support QPR and Folkestone Invicta); playing guitar, writing songs and music production.
