What do you love about working with bemix?

I enjoy working with people with diverse backgrounds. I love supporting people to achieve their goals and aspirations as best as I possibly can the way I was and I am being supported.

How long have you been involved with bemix?

I have been employed by bemix since September 2023.

What is your role in bemix?

Creative Group Supporter.

What did you do before you joined bemix?

Before joining bemix I went to a college in Maidstone called Catch 22 where I stayed for a few years. I was in a career meeting given some options and recommendations and a bemix Supported Employment internship came up so I decided to give it a try. I joined the two years Supported Employment programme in the next academic year. The first year I did some work experience in a care home as an activities coordinator assistant, which helped me gain experience in how to effectively support people in a person-centred way, gain experience in a workplace environment and culture . I was then eventually offered a Supported Internship with bemix's adult support groups in Sittingbourne. When my Supported Internship was coming to an end I was offered a permanent position with bemix as an adult group supporter.

What do you enjoy doing when you're not working?

I enjoy doing crafts, reading books and learning new skills. I also love being actively involved in my local community.
