Education for 16-24s General Information Supported Employment Admissions Please see below for our Admission Criteria Admissions criteria: You have an Education, Health and Care Plan. We have seen a copy of your most up to date annual review or have a reference from your previous provider. Be 16 – 24 years old. Live in Gravesham, Medway, Swale and Canterbury and be able to travel to our venues for the classroom based lessons (click here for more info on our venues). You want to get into work and are flexible in your expectations. We cannot guarantee to find the ‘dream job’. Promoting independence and gaining employment is the aim of the programme and should be of the learners too. Willing to travel for work. We can support with travel training. Have or be willing to set up a bank account in your name. If this is done through financial appointees, then we will need to see paperwork to confirm this. We support learning levels from Entry Level 1-3 and Level 1-2. You must provide proof of any qualifications. It is desirable for you to have had some previous work experience. (For Supported Internship programme) Provide your National Insurance number at the start of the programme. (For Supported Internship programme) Have financial appointees to sign Access to Work related paperwork. (For Supported Internship programme) Sign all Access to Work related paperwork to authorise payment for Work Coach support. (For Supported Internship programme) Refusal of Admission Bemix may refuse admission in the following cases: Places are full and accepting more may impact learner experiences. Our provision would be inappropriate for the needs of the learner. If admission of a learner would compromise the Health and Safety of learners and staff or would seriously disrupt the education of learners. If there are significant concerns of the learner’s previous engagement as this may affect their success in a workplace. NB: Non-compliance of the above Admission Criteria may jeopardise your place on the programme as it directly relates to how we fund our Work Coaches. This is through the Department for Work and Pensions, through ‘Access to Work’. This is not paid for by the Education, Skills and Funding Agency and we need this funding to support you in the workplace. If the above points are not undertaken, then we cannot pay for workplace support and cannot afford to sustain your place on the programme.
