The Pulse is available to hire for workshops, meetings, training and classes.  Perfect for an evening yoga class or film club, or perhaps as a venue for a weekend clothes swap or quiz night.  Hire includes the use of tea and coffee making facilities (mugs and kettle etc).  Free WiFi and use of a projector and screen are also available on request.

The Pulse can also arrange catering for your event - Linked to The Pulse, we run a catering project called Discovery Catering.  This is a group set up to support people with and without learning difficulties in work experience and to learn cookery and customer service skills. Locally produced, Fairtrade vegetarian and vegan food is available to book for events, meetings and workshops when ordered in advance.

Social Impact
Formerly an eco friendly, Fairtrade and vegetarian cafe, The Pulse is designed to promote good environmental practice and awareness though interaction with a wide variety of people and groups – modelling how to be eco-friendly and reduce waste.

24 photo-voltaic solar panels are installed on the roof in order to generate green electricity and the site also houses Eco Shed. Eco Shed is run by people with learning difficulties who make bespoke furniture, artwork and eco-products from reclaimed wood (and other materials) to sell at craft fairs, on our website, local country parks, wildlife and environmental centres and other outlets.
