Change People have written a very good letter saying that people with learning difficulties and/or autism should have a leading role in training health and social care professionals, and be paid well for their experience.

Please fill out this survey if you agree, and support people with learning difficulties and/or autism in projects to fill it out if they agree as well.

CHANGE and Learning Disability England support the government's proposal for mandatory training for health and care staff around better supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism.

This proposal is out for consultation. We have written a letter in response to Question 17 of this consultation, around remuneration for people with learning disabilities and/or autism who help train staff. This means getting paid a proper wage for their work.
