Audiobox Records and Arts Shop is a small co-produced bemix shop in the Charlton Centre in Dover, run by people with and without learning difficulties and or/autism.

We sell vinyl records, and original artworks made by artists with learning difficulties and or/autism who are part of our Be Creative arts project.

The shop project has been something that people in bemix groups have been dreaming of for some time. In 2023, everyone worked together to plan, design, build and stock the shop - from painting the walls and building displays, to cataloguing records and pricing artworks! After a lot of hard work, their vision has come to life!

As a social enterprise with charitable status we ensure that any money we make is re-invested into our work. This includes good quality job opportunities for people disadvantaged in the workplace.

The Audiobox shop received funding from Port of Dover Community Fund through Kent Community Foundation. The funding has created paid work opportunities for people with learning difficulties and/or autism.

The shop can also provide work experience placements for young people in Kent as part of the bemix Supported Employment programme.

Come in and browse - you never know what you might find!
