Duncan has taken an exciting step towards his dream job by starting his Supported Internship at Lenny’s of Rochester, a much-loved local patisserie and bakery. From the moment he started, Duncan’s warmth and enthusiasm have been clear, making a fantastic impression on both the team and customers.

Duncan has always had a passion for baking, and when he began his Supported Internship year, he shared that his dream was to work in a bakery. With a strong connection already in place between bemix and Lenny’s of Rochester, Sam, Duncan’s Supported Employment Specialist, reached out to Naomi, the owner, to explore opportunities. After a successful interview, Duncan was offered an internship and started in November 2024.

From day one, Duncan’s energy and dedication helped him settle quickly into his role, impressing the team with his excellent customer service skills and proactive, enthusiastic approach.
