Q+ is delighted to welcome bemix’s Supported Employment provision into the Q+ family, creating an even stronger specialist charity dedicated to improving the lives of autistic people and people with learning difficulties.

The partnership builds on bemix SE's outstanding reputation across Kent and Medway while strengthening long term sustainability through Q+'s governance, leadership and organisational capacity.

Importantly, learners, families, commissioners and employers can expect continuity of services while benefiting from a stronger organisation with increased capacity to invest in quality, innovation and future growth.

The Department for Education, Q+, bemix Supported Employment, commissioners and both Boards of Trustees have been working closely together to design a movement of growth that secures high quality provision for learners while supporting the long term sustainability of specialist services.

The proposed partnership reflects a shared commitment to protecting the excellent work already taking place across Kent and Medway, while strengthening the governance, leadership and organisational resilience needed to meet future demand.

Throughout discussions, there has been a clear and consistent focus on maintaining continuity for learners and families, preserving trusted local relationships and ensuring commissioners continue to receive high-quality provision from experienced local teams.

Following a rigorous process involving the Department for Education, commissioners and both Boards of Trustees, Q+ has demonstrated the governance, financial resilience and strategic leadership required to support bemix SE as it enters its next chapter.

This partnership reflects confidence in Q+'s ability to provide long-term stability while protecting the outstanding services, expertise and trusted relationships that bemix SE has developed over many years.

By the Supported Employment provision becoming part of the Q+ family, bemix SE will continue to deliver the excellent local services for which it is recognised, while benefiting from the additional organisational capacity, infrastructure and strategic leadership that Q+ can provide.
