In preparation for the show, the group continued to develop their skills in scriptwriting, character creation, and teamwork. This hard work resulted in a brilliant performance that had the audience laughing and cheering from start to finish.

"The panto went really well and everyone enjoyed it." - Leon C

One of the standout moments for Will was the chase scene, especially when the Benny Hill theme played: "I liked the chase scene when the Benny Hill theme came on."

Earlier this year, Risky Business was seen and heard on the streets of Kent, raising funds for props and costumes for upcoming shows, including the pantomime. The group took to the high streets of Canterbury and Sittingbourne, sharing song, Makaton street dance, and improv games with passers-by. Thanks to the generous support of the local community, they raised £162, all while bringing joy to shopkeepers and making everyone smile.

"The fundraising was spectacular, it was fun to be out in the public handing out leaflets whilst Jon was in his rainbow cape" - Sam

"The fundraising and handing out leaflets was the best." - Will

Everyone in the project loves working from their project home at The Avenue Theatre. Performing there provides the group with a space that feels professional and helps them feel confident.

"It gives you confidence. You can express yourself more when you're on the stage," - Leon

Thanks to everyone involved, Chaos at the Party Pantomime was a huge success. Not only did the performance showcase the creativity and teamwork of everyone at Risky Business, but it also demonstrated the confidence and sense of belonging that comes from being part of a collaborative, inclusive group.

We can’t wait to see what they come up with next!
