Within the Eco Shed, David is known for his vibrant and creative ideas.  We recently shared with you how his love of cows led to the creation of an entire rainbow coloured farm.  For his next project, David wanted to work on a more regal item - a throne for his sister.

Good News Story

David was donated an old chair and soon got to work sanding it down with fellow Eco Shed member, Stewart, who was particularly keen to lend a hand due to sanding being one of his favourite skills to practice.

Always looking to give pre-loved items a new lease of life, David then used some old plastic buttons to create the cover buttons for the chair, as well as stuffing it full of more padding for extra comfort.

When all the hard work was finished, David declared,                                                                                                             “I’m the King of the Castle!”

The chair’s generous donor commented, “It’s brilliant!  I wish I’d have thought of that, it’s so different.”

This was David’s first attempt at upholstery, and we think it’s a thoroughly majestic effort!
