We have been reflecting on our achievements over the past few months and are proud to share with you just a few of the things we have been working on in Eco Shed, a group project and social enterprise. The project has been working hard at building up the bespoke work side of the business and has taken on a number of commissions for individual customers, along with organisations and businesses. This not only provides new challenges and the opportunity for people to learn new skills and explore their creativity, it also ensures that people with learning difficulties and/or autism are seen through their quality work in the community.

Every individual in the project contributes to the work, and we focus here on some of the people that make up the Eco Shed team.

Group members have stepped out of their comfort zone and produced some wonderful items. One member used to spend his time at the Eco Shed making hedgehog house after hedgehog house to keep the shelves stocked.  When he decided that he was ready to make something else, he worked hard making a side unit with a drawer and was totally astonished when he had completed it as it was something he had never made before. Another member did some work experience with a chainsaw artist and loved the time he spent there which opened up the possibility of returning and the chance of training to develop skills in the art. 

Steven joined us back in November 2018, since then he has been working on this beautiful 3 tier bird box. Steven has worked very hard on this project, taking direction well through the planning process, and has been patient enough to correct little things that he was not happy with.
